Membership Information
These past few years have certainly been challenging for all providers and their patients/clients they serve. The Oklahoma Association for Home Care and Hospice has worked hard to provide immediate response to our members' need for PPE when Home Health and Hospice Providers in our state could not receive support from our state and national supply. Our Association also provided extensive education about COVID 19 and Infection Control Practices in the Home and other types of Provider Settings so that our Clinical Staff would remain educated with the most recent information to maintain safety for themselves and their patients/clients. During the pandemic, there were several Executive Orders executed from our Governor that affected our providers. Through our Advocacy efforts and our Legislative activities, OAHC was successful in working with the APRN Association in Oklahoma and passing a law that allows for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants to order and certify Home Health. This law allowed for our state to come into compliance with Federal Permanent Law effective March 2021. The National Association for Home Care and Hospice, The National Hospice and Palliative Care, The Council of States for Home Care and Hospice and the Home Care Association of America are some of the National Organizations we are affiliated with or work closely with. OAHC has worked with the Oklahoma Legislature through our paid lobbyist and frequent trips to Legislator's offices to increase Medicaid and Advantage Program rates as well as reduce burdensome regulations. Also, to address issues that have arisen between providers and Palmetto GBA, through our 16 State coalition members, CMS through the Nationals, and the Oklahoma State Health Dept. through OAHC members on the Home Health, Hospice and Palliative Care Advisory Board.
Most of all OAHC has worked to keep you informed of all the changes effecting your organization through the OAHC Listserv, website, and educational programming. OAHC members are the most prosperous and well informed agencies in the state and we invite you to join us.
You can help yourself by supporting the strongest and most active Home Care and Hospice Association in Oklahoma.
The OAHC Membership is for the active Home Health Provider, Home Care Provider and Hospice Provider that wants to be involved in the leadership of the Home Care and Hospice industry as well as take full advantage of all the educational programs that OAHC has to offer. Members may hold office on the Board of Directors or be considered for representative appointments to State Advisory Boards.
We need your support in order to continue the representation and advocacy that you need to grow your business in the world of Home Health and Hospice.
